PINE BARK MULCH

Purpose: Pine bark mulch, made from natural, carefully sifted pine bark; for plants, flower gardens, rock gardens, lawns; environment decoration.

Mulch is used for:

— reducing soil erosion, soil leaching

— enhancing the activity of microorganisms in the soil

— reducing soil crust, forming due to the falling water drops; ensuring proper aeration

— protecting plants from the adverse impact of water droplets

— reducing moisture evaporation from the soil and protecting it from overheating in summer (during drought)

— protecting plants against diseases, preventing the formation of favourable environment for increase of plant pests

— protecting plants against frost, preventing the root system from freezing

— reducing weed spreading, suppressing their growth

— decorating the environment in an interesting way hence improving its aesthetic appeal

— spreading a pleasant pine scent

— saving costs and time for plant maintenance

Use: pine bark mulch is 100% organic product. Mulch is resistant to atmospheric effects (3-5 years). pH is almost neutral. Layer should be 5-10 cm thick; 50 l/1 m2. Stir mulch every 4-6 months, to refresh it, and give air to the plant roots. We also recommend stirring it every two years while adding a new layer of 2-3 cm. If mulching is used not only to improve soil quality, but also maintain long-term decoration, you should lay the ground basis under it (organic geotextile, black agro sheet) that prevents the upper layer of mulch from sinking. The mulch layer should not reach the stems and stalks; otherwise they may start rotting. The diameter of the circle covered with mulch (with the plant in the middle) should be about 45 cm for shrubs, 75 cm for medium-sized trees.
